We are Hiring!!

Cycles PHL in North Philly is hiring! We are a quickly growing 3 year old service based shop adjacent to Temple University. We pride ourselves on the bright, friendly and comfortable space we have created to serve the bicycles and riders of North Philadelphia. This is a very fast paced work environment where the ability to juggle tasks while staying cool, calm and collected is very important. Outside of the daily operations, we host and attend a number of community programs including youth and adult workshops, beginner bike camping trips, free repair days, film screenings, and more. Interest in organizing and running these events is a huge plus!

The intent of this position is to assist keeping the shop’s daily operations running smoothly but there is a lot of space to take on other projects that support the business’ community programming and outreach.

Responsibilities include:

-Checking in repairs in a thorough and meticulous way, making sure all needed parts are in stock or in special order list

-Assisting in weekly ordering and inventory

-Providing professional, respectful and appropriate service and advice to all customers

-Basic repairs on a diverse range of bikes, including walk-in services

-Maintaining clean and organized work and sales areas

The ideal candidate is someone who:

-Is aged 18 or older

-Has 2-3 years professional experience in a bike shop

-Has experience using Lightspeed’s full range of inventory, ordering and service writing tools

-Is interested in community development and programming

-Is comfortable working unsupervised in a fast paced setting

-Loves spending their off-days on the bike, either on the road or the trails

-Is passionate about getting more people on bikes

This is a part time position of up to 25 hours per week including some Saturdays, but there is the possibility for full time employment with time split between Cycles PHL and our other location, Germantown Bicycle Supply, which will be opening in the coming months.

Pay is competitive but dependent on experience.

If interested, please drop off a resume at the shop or send it via email to contact@cyclesphl.com
